i use a cracked open 'ceiling/roof vent' along with the window
no matter which way the wind blows across the roof, heat rises, exhaust from the heater rises, the wind will draw the heated air&CO2 out thru the roof vent
It's not only poor advice, IMHO, but in fact a recipe for disaster.
Yes heat rises, but CO2 is slightly heavier than air, so in the absence of anything to blow the air around or otherwise mix it, opening a roof vent will only let warm air out, not CO2.
