I'd like to come at this from a different point of view. How often will you be dry camping? Once in a while between campgrounds with hook ups? Then a extra battery will let you run the furnace.
Now if dry camping is going to be something you do more often or more than a night at a time, you need to set your rig up for it anyways. Those vented heaters are pricy and have some installation involved. For the money you can buy a generator or even a simple solar set up and not worry about the battery. A few inexpensive LEDs in the lights you use most will cut the drain on the battery a lot.
I found out the hard way that high altitude and propane heaters do not mix well even with ventilation. Luckily it was during the day and I recognized that I was getting sick. Had it been at night, I would not be typing this right now. For less money than a vented heater cost, a simple solar set up allows us to run the furnace as we wish day and night.
