This is why I don't, won't eat at a picnic table in a campsite. You just never know what took place before you arrived. If you need to use the table my best advice is to thoroughly {Chlorox and lots of it} clean it and add a plastic tablecloth.
For the record every time I have seen this nonsense I've gone over and complained/explained why it is just so wrong... usually getting the deer in the headlights stare for my trouble. Arrrrg!
:M
I'd better not let DW hear about this. She has a nursing degree and is a real germaphobe. But we may bring an extra folding table from now on.
Sanitizing a surface that sits outside and used for food is common sense or use a disposable table cloth.
LOL........
Funny stuff isn't it.......how about using a paper plate instead of dumping dinner out on the table top and grazing LOL. What is that chemical they treat outdoor wood with? Copper azole? Oh my. 40 to 50 years ago tables in PA state parks were dosed with creosote. The **** things would last almost forever too. I wonder what some do when they are forced into using a public restroom or worse yet a pit toilet in some bug infested rustic campground LOL. Oh the humanity.
