Televisions in the winter

I am not sure if I need to do this but I am planning on removing my TVs from my trailer for the winter. This is our first trailer that has flat screens. Is this what the rest of you do...at least those of you that live in the Great White North.

For those of you in the south, please remember your Southern Hospitality and don't rub it in that it nicer in the winter where you are and it never gets THAT cold there.:B
  • No they are left in. This topic comes up every year about this time. And the general consensus is to leave them alone. In actuality LCD panels are used daily in sub zero temperatures in automobiles, heavy equipment, etc. and work without fail. If it makes you feel better take them inside. I'll leave mine in the RV.

I bring mine inside but only because it is simple to do. Then I can have more TV's to play with in the house.

I don't have the temp specs in front of me but the flat screens are ok to leave in the cold. The only thing to watch for is be sure to heat up the room somewhat before turning any on. If it was a high dollar expensive LCD Large Screen HDTV I would most definitely bring it inside...
