Just think of all the unsold units in stock. Also think of all the for sale by owner units out there. Now factor in the individuals who won't have any income or expendable cash for a while. It will take a long time for the industry and camping To recover. Unsold units will sit much longer before selling. Some campgrounds will fold. Sad times for all. I feel sorry for the people who planned for years to retire and travel.Stay safe and healthy folks.

I don't see problem. Summer is a ways away.

I get it but from a more selfish perspective....maybe now I'll be able to get reservations at some of the more popular spots.

Public campgrounds will reopen since they're owned by the govt. As far as I know, private RV parks are open now, where allowed. For sure, the RV industry is going to get hit really hard since the last thing anyone without a job is going to consider buying an RV.

Sorry to break it to you.... I know 3 people that work in hospitals over here on the East Coast, along with my daughter who is the head of nursing a nursing home... They ALL were told to list COVID as the C.O.D. IF they're tested and positive, thats it,,,,

My nephew is an ICU nurse treating only Covid patients in a hospital and calls BS on your hospital.
Nursing homes are germ hot spots. How come the daily death figures here in NJ show how many nursing deaths are Covid and then how many are not.

I'm like most people, in that I profile others, and pass judgement. Except, that I believe in science and mother nature and my own ability to reason. I'm 80 years old, and I have selected my own doctors, and I take my prescription meds, and watch my diet,...and feel like I will live another 10 years. I take the standard precautions, but if I become infected with COVID, and then die, I would consider the COVID the "coup de grace" (it killed me).

This forum is probably the most geographically and demographically diverse forum I read (not enough free time to read all I wish I could.) It has been very interesting to hear all the different opinions and how they vary from place to place.

One thing that bothers me about "the numbers" is how if you test COVID positive, and you die, you are counted as a COVID death in USA but not in other countries. I think this makes "the numbers" much less valuable. In US, COVID is reportable just like Aids, so when you test positive for it the hospital (or whoever tested you) has to report it to the local health department. The local health department then keeps track of the totals and that's what makes its way to the news.

In the USA if you are a COVID positive healthy 25 year old gymnast with no symptoms, and were tested for COVID because of where you work, and you get hit by a bus crossing the street on your morning jog, you are counted as a COVID death.

In the USA if you are an 84 year old retired coal miner that smoked non-filter lucky strike for 70 years, installed steam pipe insulation in a shipyard during the war, and you contracted COVID while in hospice with stage 4 lung cancer, when you die you are counted as a COVID death.

I have tried to research this to see if it applies everywhere in US, and hopefully its not correct, but as far as I am able to research in the USA if you tested positive for COVID and die of literally anything, you go into the tally for COVID positive death regardless of what the coroner puts on your certificate.

I dunno, but I've read that the unemployment now is worse than during the Great Depression. True? Ya got me, but I look around at all the shuttered businesses in the area, and wouldn't be surprised.

Hard to say with certainty. This is certainly the biggest rate of change by a couple orders of magnitude over the next highest. It may just be that the stats haven't caught up with reality.
