Toad modifications complete
DW and I just returned from a trip to Iowa for some factory repairs on our Winnebago mh. We also drove separately up to get the new Jeep Cherokee modified for towing. We can strongly recommend Bruce’s repair in Matlock, IA for the car mod. He did the baseplate, SMI supplemental braking system, lights, and the new Demco tow bar.
We have beeen Blue OX before, but like the Demco tow setup so far having towed it back from Iowa to Tennessee. Easy hookup, release, and disconnect. It sits high off the ground so no tail drag, and Bruce has personal connections to the Demco factory so when we needed a small drop hitch and a link extender for the safety cables, it was just a call away and in hand in a few minutes.
We liked the safety cables and wiring harness being attached to the tow bar. Very neat and no risk of dragging on the ground.
Bruce was nice to deal with, and no, we have no financial interest in his or Demco’s business. Just want to say nice things about nice folks to deal with.
One small reason we decided to use Demco for the first time is that they are also in Iowa like WGO is so we can get the tow Assy looked at from time to time while there in state seeing WGO.
BTW, there is a great boondocking space a few hundred feet from his shop.
