Trailer Brake controler for air brakes

I have a class a motor home with air brakes and want to purchase a brake controller for a trailer.

My Ford f350 pickup has an integrated brake controller that senses brake pressure and like the way the trailer brakes repose to brake peddle pressure in the truck.'

I would like the same thing the motor home.

Suggestions.

The Ford integrated controller uses brake fluid pressure and other signals from the PCM to determine how much braking is being requested.

There are two options that can closely match the integrated brake controller in your PU.

    Prodigy - $120.00
    MaxBrake - $350.00

The MaxBrake works more closely like the integrated brake controller but is more expensive. Need to verify this can be used with Airbrakes - might be an issue.

As stated you will need to locate the brake pedal switch and tap off that for the brake controller turn-on.

You will also need the wiring to complete the 7 pin connector at the TV bumper.

Do you have a model for the maxbrake

Use an electronic brake control and slice the brake signal wire from the brake light switch, on the treadel valve.
I'm pretty sure your Ford integrated brake control senses 'change in momentum', just like any other electronic brake controllers. They splice into the boo (brake on/off) switch. When the boo closes the curcuit the controller sends power to the trailer brakes proportional to the change in momentum. The hydraulic brake controls from 20 years ago were plumbed into the brake master cylinder, and sensed brake pedal pressure. Abs brakes made them obsolete.

The control is hooked to a brake line and senses fluid pressure.
