I'll bet the price that your paying for this "unfortunate" park reflects exactly that, a railroad on one side and freeway on the other.
I have heard other folks mention that they turn the fan on for noise. What am I missing, your adding noise to compensate for the noise.??? I don't get it
It's true, running some sort of noisemaker does work for some of us. The constant drone of a fan, A/C unit, what-have-you seems to block out other noises. Maybe not perfectly but the brain seems to concentrate more on the constant drone rather than the varying types of noise from outside sources. I run a fan or something similar in my bedroom even when in a relatively quiet area. I'm just used to it.
