To us, the biggest problem we have had with train noise was up on the Mississippi at a well-know COE campground. Entrance to CG had a crossing, well-equipped with lights and barriers. Middle of the night train driver sounds horn approaching crossing as in proper. Then, after passing the crossing, and directly beside, the CG, at 3:00 in the morning. he blows all the horns on what seemed like all the five engines! Must have thought some hard of hearing campers might be on the tracks. Or just jealous because of those folks enjoying camping while he had to work.
