Using Weber 120 with RV Propoane

My RVQ is getting a little worn and I have a Weber 120Q in the basement that I could easily use. However, I refuse to use those green bottles. We camp every weekend and I use the BBQ everynight so using the built in propane hose that attaches to my RVQ is very convieneint.

With that said, can I outfit the Weber to accept the RV connector. Do I need to remove the Weber's regulator? Where do I get the parts and is it a simple DIY. tks

  • Another option ( I use one with our Weber) is a 5 lb. propane tank.

Easy to store and transport -small and lightweight
Allows you to set up your grill anywhere
    Easy to refill
    Lasts a really long time
No need to modify/remove the regulator

  • It should be very simple. I am in the process of doing the same thing. I need to install an Extend a Stay fitting on my propane connection before the regulator and then the proper hose that will screw into my BBQ that takes the small bottles. My local RV parts dept. carries everything I need for about $100 and if they don't have a hose long enough any hose shop will make one for me.
