I had to replace my grey valve a couple weeks ago and none of you should have my set-up but it took me two days. Had to drill out the rivets that hold the skid plate in place, then the screws that hold the tank box cover in place...that was day one. Day two was the actual valve then the box cover..then had to work out how to get the skid plate back up-up-up..the plate is maybe 4x5 ft...can you say awkward....
That what caused the leak? Fine coffee grounds. I use a very fine grind..Turkish coffee setting on most commercial machines. I have a flush set up for the black but grey, not..so, whatever is in the tank..is all there is. No real strong flushing action. And the coffee grounds went into the space between seals and blade and filled about half of it up. I am now ensuring I have dumped a bunch of water into the sink before dumping but more than that..I now am dumping into the black tank. Or outside if I can.
