- rbrandExplorerHey Everybody! I'm Sorry. I only wanted a cover for my fan. Not to throw the **** into it.
Humbly regretful.
Ross - Cummins12V98Explorer IIIAll three of my fans are MaxxAir. The fantastic cover works well with them.

Snip...
SOME of them have an electric motor that raises and lowers the lid.
On these models a cover over the fan can cause the lid to crack if not big enough and/or not properly installed.. I assume the FF cover is big enoguh. Install is still up to the installer.
Not an accurate statement. The FF with the electric motor will stop if the lid touches an obstruction. When used with a cover that does not quite allow full opening, the motor will stop and the lid will not raise any higher. I had one for years that operated that way and, as far as I know, they still do.

I have owned the Maxx air cover and now the last two RV's the Fantastic Vent cover. Fantastic costs more but puts the Maxx to shame in all areas! No screen in the Fantastic so it allows full air flow.
Thank you as I'm considering that cover.
not only air flow but Fantastic Fan comes in several models. SOME of them have an electric motor that raises and lowers the lid.

As always you missed the point, old video and they did not use a MAXX AIR FanMate to give a fair test, just used theirs and others that were not designed for a FAN as the MAXX AIR Fan Mate is.
Too funny, it's not I who missed the point but yourself :S - the OP has a Fan-tastic Vent fan, the Fan-tastic Vent Ultra Breeze is specifically designed for use with a Fan-tastic Vent fan so why in the world would he choose to use a different vent cover that may or may not allow 100% air flow as will the Ultra Breeze, as proven in that demo video? Your argument makes no sense. :R - IAMICHABODExplorer IIAs always you missed the point, old video and they did not use a MAXX AIR FanMate to give a fair test, just used theirs and others that were not designed for a FAN as the MAXX AIR Fan Mate is.

BTW the video linked is an old one and is only is a advertisement for their own vent.
Obviously it's an advertisement for their own vent. :R Pretty hard to argue with what is demonstrated though, regardless of how "old" the video may be as the Fan-tastic Vent Ultra Breeze vent is still an available product. The OP has a Fan-tastic Vent fan so why wouldn't he use an Ultra Breeze over it, considering it's demonstrated efficiency? :h
