  • I am very thankful I had the extended warranty, it replaced the water pump, the burned out converter, and just before it expired, replaced one of the slide gears, which required complete removal & re-install of the slide. ($1800)
  • Admittedly I only have a HTT, but there is nothing on this trailer other that body work, that would not be covered by warranty any way that I could not muddle though on my own.
  • Over the years there is story after story about them denying coverage or going out of business. There have been a few people with positive experience on the forum. But all I seem to hear is denied coverage or people having to fight to get it covered.

Like others I would put the money in the bank and make sure I had any issues fixed before the factory warranty expires.

I bought the optional 2nd year warranty from Forest River for $100 dollars and never needed it on my Cherokee.
  • X3.

Probably the biggest complaint people have around here is these warranty companies making excuses for not paying bills.
  • X2 most arn,t worth the paper that was wasted to write it. give me your money, and when you have some thing broke, I,ll e mail you it,s not covered.
  • I'm of the opinion, put the money you would have paid for the warranty into a bank account. Use the account for RV repairs and a little to it each month. At the end of what would be hour warranty you will probably have a nice chunk of change in your account.

If you purchase the warranty, say for $1600, your out $1600 at the end of the warranty if you never used it. These companies are out to make money and will find any excuse to not pay.

We purchased a 5 year warranty on our 2012 fiver, our first rv, and refunded it after the first year realizing we could fix most issue ourselves. That $1600 is now sitting in the bank.

That my two cents. Good luck.
