When I first married the DW she brought a 20" box fan into the bedroom and fired it up. I slept in silence for the first 18 years of my life, thought what the heck is this about?
Fast forward about 7 years, I stayed overnight at a hotel for work. Finally a night of silence. Couldn't sleep at all.
I travel overnight almost every week for work now. After 23 years I can't begin to fall asleep without a fan. We keep looking for a smaller fan to put in the suitcase but loud enough to be effective.
I got a great nights sleep there was something soothing about the sound of a washer slopping the clothes around.

If the RV park I'm in has a laundry room, I use their machines, otherwise I hit a laundromat. Anyplace that I can use multiple washers and dryers. One for colors, one for whites. Pocket T-shirts and jeans for the color load, underwear for the white load. I don't go anyplace that requires me to be more dressed up than that. Anything that requires ironing isn't part of my wardrobe, either at home or on the road.
I had a buddy in college that dumped all his freshly laundered clothes from home in one corner of his room and piled the dirty clothes in an opposite corner. When all the clothes were in the "dirty pile", it magically became the "clean pile" and he started another "dirty pile". Nobody wanted to be his roommate. :)
I do not separate the colors from the whites, I never have. The washer holds a smaller load and the 120 volt dryer takes longer but washing clothes in the camper is more time efficient. The alternative would be to either unhook and drive to the nearest facility, or if the campground had one I would have to gather my stuff and walk over to their machines (God knows what was put into them before I got there) then waste time sitting in front of the machine or leave and risk having my stuff dumped because they wanted to use the machine. The concept of working while I sleep appeals to me.
My last trip to NY I was too busy clearing out a house I was selling and didn't have time to spend at a laundry mat. The last day I had to search for my cleanest dirty clothes to wear.
