Water on Awning???

We have a 2012 Salem 26Tbud with a electric solera awning. A lot of water is collecting on the awning when it rains. I know they are meant for sun not water but does anyone have any tricks or what do you all do? Thank you
  • seeing you have an electric awning and I know you can't tilt it (lower one side) press your index finger on that little button and let it roll back up. the weight of the water can tear the awing right off the rig.

When it rains the awning goes up...
  • I tilt my awning to allow the water to run off. I don't know if your awning can be tilted but if you can get it to slant down from the RV to the outside end the water will run off and not pool. Otherwise you'll need to roll it in.

if you mean the water is pooling on the awning that's not good as the weight of the water can damage the supports and fabric. we roll up our awning if we know it's likely to rain heavily overnight. otherwise we dip the awning on one side to allow rain to avoid pooling.
