Once you've gone through 2 or 3 grills, you'll discover the Q is not more expensive, it's really cheaper in the long run. We've got the full size Q and have been using it for nearly 9 years and it's still in great shape, one of the best investments in camping we have made. Yes, they're pricey, but they are built like a tank. They are rather HEAVY compared to other grills so consider that too.
If you do go with the Q, I would also suggest the Weber rolling cart as an accessory. Very, very handy.
There are other good grills out there, the Q is not the only one but it's been great for us and we've never regretting the purchase.
