Easy way to clean you grill grate… Place your grill grates in a plastic garbage bag out in a sunny area…
Mix 3 cups of Ammonia, 3 cups of white vinegar together. Add 1 cup of baking soda gently but quickly into the ammonia/vinegar mix (it will foam) and pour it into bag…
Seal bag and shake to coat the grate inside…
If you're worried about the foaming, you can use just ammonia and nothing else, but the combo mix will clean the toughest burnt-on-food…
Allow to sit in the sun and in the bag for 24 hours, and then remove grate from bag…
Rinse with a hose, oil it up and you're ready to grill…
You shouldn't need to scrub a thing, the solution will soften and break down all food particles allowing the water to rinse them away.
