I just purchased the Weber Q 220. I did a lot of research, and ended up deciding on the Weber (despite the fact that it was 1.5 - 2x more expensive). There were a couple of reasons for this:
1. The Weber Q is one of the only portables that allows you to cook with the lid down
2. Everyone I talked to raved about the quality, and how long the Weber Q lasts.
So far I'm really impressed. Here is my YouTube review.
I'm using mine as a home grill as well.
I believe I purchased my Baby Q in 06. The stainless burner is in perfect condition as is the cast iron grate. I have had several grills over the years and they all rotted away. Not this one! They must use really good quality stainless and cast iron.
THANK YOU WEBER!!!!!!
Worth every penny.
We got the Q100, as there is just the two of us most of the time, and it will still handle up to four nice steaks or burgers.
The best money I have ever spent on a Grill! We now have two, one for home, one one in the 5er all the time.
When I bought mine I was concerned I should have bought the Larger "Daddy Q" but it has never been too small. Even with guests.
