weekend getaway!

Well, My DW and I homeschool our kids and we are going to our most local homeschool convention about 3.5 hrs away tommorow. Best part is, NO KIDS!!!! We have a 7,5 and 2 year old and it's a much needed getaway even though we will spend most of our time at the convention. The WONDERFUL thing about the trip this year is we've decided to book a campground a few miles from the event and I am stoked that I'll get to camp while we are away and not have to stay in a disgusting, germ infested, bed bug hotel!
I am excited about having a nice quiet dinner with the DW thursday and friday night at the campground. Anyone have any good ideas to make it more romantic in the RV???? :B
She's new to camping somewhat and I want to make it a special time for just the two of us yet we are in the woods!

  • thanks everybody. We had a great weekend. glass of wine and chocolate covered strawberries with some mood music made the first night, and last night was just a real good relaxing sleep with no kids waking us up wanting water or to use the bathroom! Things when well until I back the camper into the driveway! Battery issues! jeesh
  • Do all the cooking and serving and take sdianel's advice on proper settings. BTW, don't forget to shut the blinds and keep the stabilizers tight to limit movement. LOL
  • Flowers, steak on the grill, baked potato in the microwave, salad in a bag, wine if she likes wine. Don't forget plastic wine glasses if you don't already have them.
Battery operated candles would be safer. Don't forget mood music. If you have a DVD, a chick flick like Sleepless in Seattle.
Another easy quick meal is frozen lasagna, salad, bread. Look for Stouffers small microwavable lasagna.
    Enjoy your much deserved trip.
