Well, I found this in our Shower Floor

I would drill small holes at the end of each crack, keeps them from traveling further. Cut a piece of thin plastic ,lexan or something similar to cover the cracks. Place silicone caulk on back side of patch , fasten with counter set stainless screws. Might not be pretty but an easy fix.

Our shower/tub combo is the same way, very little support underneath and only at a few points. I had to access the area for something else and noticed the connections were not very tight. Luckily it didn't leak. Way oversize holes for the plumbing which provides little support in key areas.

What I do is use the minimally-expanding foam in spray cans (usually labeled for doors and windows) and fill the area between the shower floor and the wood floor under it so it distributes the force all over instead of a few points. Do NOT use the regular expanding foam, as it expands too much and could force the shower floor up and actually cause cracks.

I agree with the other posts that say lack of support under the shower caused the problem. If the dealer replaces the shower but doesn't fix the core problem, it will just happen again later.

I think it will get worse if you try to use it. But if i had to iwwould use etetnabond or some equal brand for emergency repair. Take plenty of pictures.

Just brought my new rig home last weekend and noticed a similar type crack in the toilet. I took a pic and emailed it to the service department with the details. Its now documented and I'm covered. The important thing here is that now you know of the problem you don't do anything to cause further damage which would not be covered. Another vote for your friend, duct tape! As far as cause, who knows, could have been that way when they put it in.

I like the factory idea.

I'm guessing there is a problem with the support under the shower, and shower will have to be removed to fix that. It could be that the pipe is too high, as westend said, or the cutout for the drain could be too large, or something else.

what do i think caused it? it's by the drain, it looks like despite the hole in the drain that there is a lip around the hole, maybe 1" wide, that i assume contacts the floor by design. it looks like it's cracked on the perimeter of that lip. my guess is people trampling through the camper when on the lot got to it.

A shower floor should withstand heavy people trampling on it thousands of times without cracking. And it's the support under it that gives it that strength.

Silicon, can be peeled off.

Tape it.
It may be that the vertical drain piping is too long. When the shower drain fixture is threaded onto the pipe it may hold the shower floor up, off the floor below. With nothing to support the floor, and a small dimension of reinforced fiberglass (typical), it would be prone to cracking.

Gorilla Brand duct tape is the answer. But, Make sure the dealer sees the crack and knows that your going on your trip and will duct tape a temp repair. Then try to get to the underside of the pan and see if you can reinforce the base of it with blocks. Mine was spongy feeling (not cracked...yet) and I have an inspection window available and the 2x4's used to brace the bottom were ill placed and of no value. I moved them into a practical place and no more spongy feel or any cracks.

by 3M brand if they have it

clean the surface good with alcohol..
will be totally water proof
but i would show it to the dealer and document the cracks with photos and paper work before you tape it and leave on your trip

maybe stop by the dealer on your way out of town

then tape it before you use it
