mid January. going to Georgia. first time Snow Bird.camper is already there.Wife's job ends Jan 03... company moving to Mexico.

Heading to Waycross, GA. to visit young'uns. Can't wait to see 4 yr old grand daughter open presents!

New Year's Eve is the time to be at home and off the streets before dark. Too many amateur drunks on the road. When I was a bartender, I always volunteered to work. Safer to be on that side of the bar, and by the time I got to go home, all the drunks were off the road. Home, ditch or jail. For Christmas, I'll try to hide, but it usually doesn't work. I'm lifetime single, and no living relatives. One of the Moms I know will insist, and I hate intruding on a family holiday. This week, I'll buy myself a nice present and have it gift wrapped. At my age, three weeks from now I can open it and be surprised.

Parked in daughter's driveway in Florida. 84 degrees!!! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone!!

We'll be at my niece's house Christmas Eve, at home Christmas Day then going to my daughter's house after that for a few days--unless we have another blizzard then we'll be staying home. The weather is just too rough to want to travel and we'd really rather be with family over the holidays than anywhere else. We'll bug out next summer for an extended trip.

This is how I expect 2013 holiday season to go, much like seasons past:

Shoveling snow.
Opening presents.
Shoveling snow.
Eating Christmas dinner - napping.
Shoveling snow.
Lugging in firewood.
Shoveling snow.
Lugging out ashes.
Shoveling snow.
Greeting New Year in.
Shoveling snow.
Pulling neighbor's GMC out of ditch.
Shoveling snow.

We will be in San Antonio over Christmas and New Years. As full timers we look for a place to stay to cover the holidays so we do not have to deal with the extra ordinary crazies on the road,

Home, father of two girls aged 5 and 2. I am not taking any days off work. Contract/consult billable with zero benefits. 6 digit take home pay to play, the new american way!

Will be spending Christmas with family at home. Then for New Years will be headed south to Cagun Palms rv park in Louisiana to meet up with a fellow rv.net member. Then to central Texas for a few days to visit friends and back home. Never done anything like this before. Really looking forward to it. Happy camping, John

we will be spending christmas with our mothers in two different nursing homes then new years with grand kids so parents can go out and have fun then we will pack up 5er and get out of town

We snow-bird in New Port Richey, FL. For the past four years we have gone
to Stephen Foster State Park in Winter Spring where we meet friends from
Nova Scotia. Have a wonderful Christmas and the Park is decorated with many
lights. Also have a carillon tower that plays Christmas music
