mid January. going to Georgia. first time Snow Bird.camper is already there.Wife's job ends Jan 03... company moving to Mexico.

Heading to Waycross, GA. to visit young'uns. Can't wait to see 4 yr old grand daughter open presents!

New Year's Eve is the time to be at home and off the streets before dark. Too many amateur drunks on the road. When I was a bartender, I always volunteered to work. Safer to be on that side of the bar, and by the time I got to go home, all the drunks were off the road. Home, ditch or jail. For Christmas, I'll try to hide, but it usually doesn't work. I'm lifetime single, and no living relatives. One of the Moms I know will insist, and I hate intruding on a family holiday. This week, I'll buy myself a nice present and have it gift wrapped. At my age, three weeks from now I can open it and be surprised.

Parked in daughter's driveway in Florida. 84 degrees!!! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone!!

We'll be at my niece's house Christmas Eve, at home Christmas Day then going to my daughter's house after that for a few days--unless we have another blizzard then we'll be staying home. The weather is just too rough to want to travel and we'd really rather be with family over the holidays than anywhere else. We'll bug out next summer for an extended trip.

DD, SIL and GD using TT as guest house while they visit the week of Christmas. Christmas Day will be dinner (lunch) at nursing home with my Dad, and then steaks on the grill for supper. New Years will be quiet as I will be working all that week except the 1st.

I am already south, so I don't expect snow or any kind of winter weather. 74 degrees right now.

Getting close now!!!

We leave our home base in Reno Friday for San Diego over Xmas. Overnights at Kit Fox in Patterson, CA and the Orange Grove in Bakersfield arriving at Mission Bay on Sunday.

For New Years will be in Yuma and then it's on to.....

No family close anymore so it is on to Las Vegas the 22nd to the 26th in the rig. Meeting a son and neighbors for some golf, poker, shooting automatic weapons at a range, eat and drink too much. You know, the normal Christmas stuff. Then get out of town before the New Years crowd.

We are leaving the day after Christmas for our first year Snowbirding. We have reservations in Marathon for New Year's Eve, Big Pine Key for January, and Fort Myers for Feb. Still undecided on March. We can't wait to get on the road!

Christmas Eve with the Kids, then Christmas morning we're headed to Gulf Shores State Park for a week, can not wait.
