If it takes a scientist 1000 tries to figure out the right result, doesn't that mean that 999 were wrong and one was right? Isn't that more? How many theories about any scientific concept have been put forth in say the last 100 years that are now looked at as wrong and even ridiculous? How many are still accepted as correct? It changes and evolves all the time as new information is discovered. What we humans "know" is minuscule compared to what is knowable.
