I'm looking for ideas on where to attach an external garden hose to my 2005 Jayco 27BH when I am dry camping. I have been thinking for a long time about a way to attach a hose to the trailer so I can put out the camp fire at the end of the night.I have PEX tubing.I have a sealed underbelly.I have an outside shower.I have a gravity water fill.I have a threaded city water hookup.I need this to work off the on-board water pump.I know I'm not the first one to want to hook up a hose to their trailer. What are some of the methods you've used, or what are some ideas that I can try?Thanks

Unscrew hand wand on external shower.... Install coiled garden hose. Done.Worked for my buddies rv

Or you could just put a bucket under the fresh water tank drain valve and fill it up and then walk it over to your fire. I think you can still get the orange 5 gal home depot buckets for $1.99. That seems a lot less labor intensive then trying to outfit your rig with a garden hose to complete the same task.

I purchased from the Boating community a hose in a built in cylinder with round plastic cover...mount verticle on the side of the RV, one 4-1/2" diameter hole is all you need to drill. If you want more details let me know.

you are going to use water to put out a fire? , when you have all that free dirt to use. what are you going to do when it comes time to shower and the fire has all the water?

I always use a gated "Y" when I hookup to city water. They are like $2 at Walmart, Lowes, etc. One side goes into the camper and the other I usually attach a short hose to it with a nozzle. To reach the campfire, you can use a longer hose

Do the recycled beer idea, then finish it off with dirt or vice versa depending on how much beer you have had.

I go along with the dirt scenario. A small bag of sand in the back of the pickup would suffice if the ground was too rocky or hard.

If I wanted one real bad, and I wanted a first class job, I would put a T on the discharge side of the pump with a shut off, and then run a pipe to a fitting (same type as your city water inlet), on the outside of your rig.
