Can I go faster than the recommended 65mph when towing a trailer?
Maxxis recommends that you do not exceed 65mph when towing a trailer.

LBL,
You will get answers both ways but in my case I take mine in 2 at a time for replacement because none of the 7 tire shops near me have room for a trailer or will not work in the parking lot. And I'm talking about many of the companies mentioned here. The good thing is I know the trailer is jacked up correctly and the lug nuts are torqued and the suspension is inspected.
Thanks...that's kinda what I am favoring too. Shops here
are located near the busiest part of town. I only have two (2)
but nasty traffic and knowing it's in my driveway out weights the alternative. Thanks again. - RAS43Explorer IIILBL,

- LBL_1206Explorersilly question but here it comes...do any or all of you actually take your rig to the tire shop to have them remove and do the new remounts or do you remove the tires/rims at home and take to tire shops for remounting new tires...

Cheapest by far and had free shipping all long with very current DOT dates. Got mine there three weeks ago - Ron3rdExplorer IIITire Rack has a program where you can buy the tires online and they ship to a participating installer (tire shop). Discount Tire is hard to beat for service. That's where I buy all my tires and you get the added bonus that they are everywhere if you need warranty service while traveling.
- lots2seeinmyrvExplorerOur local dealer did not stock the Maxxis but ordered them for us and got them in a couple of days.

I bought my Maxxis from Discount Tire Direct. http://www.discounttiredirect.com/ They offer "free" shipping which I am sure is included in the tire price. I also happened to order them premounted and balanced on a nice set of new rims. :C :B
Where is the best place online to get maxxis tires 235/80/16 thanks in advance
Note: Mine were not that size so you would need to check the website to see if they have that size.
