where to go during bad storms

One place you don't want to be in a tornado is in an RV. You are better off sheltering in a ditch then in your rig ir your car.
We went to Iowa once and when we got to "tornado country", we started seeing signage in builidings that identifed "storm shelter areas"
The owner of the campground where we stayed one night walked through the park and told us that there was a chance of violent weather, and that the bathhouse was the designated shelter. I laughed until the storm popped up and rocked my world. I still swear the motoerhome moved. Had enough time to grab a flashlight and the dog. We couldn't get to the bath house fast enough. LOL.
