Why the extra bathroom door?

We were looking at new trailers and saw many with the second door. We decided we did not need a new trailer after all.There must be lots of people who want them. Not us.

As stated previously. When taking a shower, it lets the bedroom act as a dressing room. The DW would not have a trailer without direct entry to the bathroom off the bedroom.

The way I see it, all access circulation corridors take away from living space stuff. I have seen a dual access bath, and I saw wasted space- IF space is a consideration.

Different strokes for different folks, we like ours but we are the only 2 that use our trailer. Sorry, no room for guests cuz I even took out the folding sofa bed and replaced it with a comfortable love seat recliner....just for 2.

It also allows for a ward slide in some models that have a linen closet in the bathroom as well as ward space in the bedroom.

I cut in a second door to the bedroom. Now I can have full access to the trailer with the slide in, have privacy from guests sleeping in the living room and have privacy from folks outdoors. I also have easy, instant access to the bath for those middle of the night callings. In addition, the outside door to the bedroom is right next to the added door allowing easy on the road pit stops. Loading, cleaning and winterizing doesn't require opening the slide. Best mod I ever did, and I have done plenty.

The whole idea of the pocket door on our unit is so that you have access to the bed without opening a slide while traveling. We can get to the fridge, bathroom, and bed when we stop which makes it easy if we are having a long travel day.

I for one like it. It keeps the bedroom private while it allows others to use the bathroom facilities. Especially if you are taking a nap during the afternoon. Mine takes up no usable space, after all, it is just a door with in a wall on rollers. What could you use that space for?
