Will this void warrenty?

MY Dodge ram 1500 diesel rear settles quite a bit when I tow my fifth wheel. If I install the Air Ride air bags will this void the warranty? The trailer is below the limits allowed according to the manual. I only want the truck and trailer to be level as this makes for a safer drive.

His profile shows a Heartland 37. If that means it's 37 feet long, that's WAY overweight for his truck.
  • You need to do two things to prove that you are not over the OEM's ratings...

#1 is to go out and weigh your setup. Just the TV fully loaded ready to go
RV'ing and then the whole setup. Both fully loaded ready to go RV'ing and
    axle by axle

#2 find your GCWR and then do the simple math using #1's numbers

The OEM manual will have a MTWR based or derived from the stripper model
of your TV. Many/most times that stripper model is not solid to the public

Things like no optional equipement, other than the tow option and one 150 lb
driver for the TV. Or a 10% tongue trailer. Or that the trailer is a flat
bed with weights and has little to no sail area (frontal)

Other factors are which diff ratio did they use?

Which tire dia did they use and if you have optional tires that are of
    larger dia

    and a big ETC

Oh...decide if you believe in the ratings system

If no, then do whatever knowing that you have taken the OEMs off
    the warranty/liability hook

If yes, then learn how the ratings system works and find the
ratings for 'your' TV...there are so many variables that using
someone else's TV might get you into trouble
  • No it shouldn't but... So you're towing a fifth wheel with a Ram 1500 with 3.0L Diesel? Is that even possible?
