- PghBobExplorerSingle digits in West. PA this am. Weather guy on TV says the dreaded Polar Vortex will be returning to the east by the end of next week.
- CavemanCharlieExplorer IIIWe have had above average winter temps and less snow here in southern MN. It's seasonal now but, I went camping in November and we had a brown Christmas.
There is a local guy that predicts the weather by saving Onions from his garden in some special way. Then he cuts the Onions open and by measuring the water in them and what they look like he makes weather predictions.
He gives out these predictions on the local radio station. (Yes, it's a really lame station lol KDOM ) - RollandBExplorerI think they lied....;-) We had our 5er out for NY weekend on Oregon Coast. Sunny, windy for the first few days, first hike of the year was 35 degrees at 10am, with the wind chill, 22. Freezing rain greeted us on Sunday Morning. Still an awesome time away.
- SlownsyExplorerGreat to hear it is going to be warm at beginning of February when we are going to New York.
Frank. - seleExplorergood old central Illinois has been ok other than the whole flooding issue. We have had above average temps so far this year so I can't complain. decent amount of sunshine. We don't live close to any flooding so that hasn't affected us yet, but I do feel for anyone in the flood zone on the Mississippi and Meramec.
