Woodburning Stove

Reading the manual it states

1.
The Kimberly™ stove heating unit is certified to
burn dry, well-seasoned wood. When gathering
your fuel, it is important to select hard wood
known to have a high BTU content, whenever
possible. The wood should be stored off the
ground in a wood shed, which is designed to
allow plenty of air flow through the stacks, and
stored this way for a minimum of 6 months; 12
months is recommended.

I'm sure it would keep your tent warm as would any number of wood stoves. I wonder if the low particulate count would make it so Denver would let me install one at the house.

I think in the end, you're going to spend a LOT of money. (a little exaggerated example here, but kind of like buying a copy machine for $50, which is a fantastic buy, but the toner cost $250 a pop and last only 100 pages! Not a good deal!)

I haven't looked for the logs specified but it's just a recommendation. Any good wood is useable but it has to be cut to size.

Search for "The Stove Center". Not trying to sell it, just up for discussion, that's all.

I think $3500 is a lot to spend for heating a tent. When I was out on the Navajo reservation many years ago all of the Hogans had a 40 gal drum or similar wood stove with a hole in the roof for smoke to escape. They were all very warm. Also why would you need compressed wood to burn if you are camping in the woods.

Assuming the OP is actually talking tent (vrs RV) many/most/all of the vendors for large canvas tents have the option of making them with an opening for the wood stove chimney. It's really a no brainer, done a lot and has been for several hundred years.

If an rv.... well, seen it done, not certain I would do it, lots (and lots) of issues to consider there.

When we were ordering the current rig they asked about the "fireplace" option, when I learned it was just a fancy electric heater.... If it had been a propane fireplace, I might have bit.

I do like the water heat idea for radiant heated floors in the camper That would be nice in the cold fall mornings,and it would not be any louder than the furnace. You could build a wood stove and put a chimney in for way less than that stove people do it in trailer houses all the time. its more a matter of room the cost doesnt seem to be worth it.
