The reason my daily driver is a pickup is because all the new cars Suck !
I understand that they are safer then ever. And, that they run a lot longer then they used to. But, they are boring, bland, and dull. I have 2 friends one has a Ford Edge, the other and Morono (not sure who makes that thing). Both vehicles are the same color. When they are parked in the driveway one behind the other you can't tell the difference in them from the side view. You can barely tell the difference from the front and the back.
And although reliable, when a new car does break you can't fix much on it yourself. And, you can't afford a mechanic. Usually, best to just trade it off and let the next guy worry about it.
About the only new car I would consider buying is a Dodge Challenger, Though a Mustang is not to awful bad of looking. Everything else is a ugly dull econobox.
Might as well take public transportation if they have it in your area.
Also, I need the pickup to pull the camper and to do things on the farm. For the cost, licensing, and insurance of a second car I can afford to put the extra gas in the pickup.
