  • What do these people do when they go to another state or maybe they don’t. Not only could they not pump their own gas, they most likely couldn’t find their way home.
  • When I moved to Oregon many years ago I could not believe that I could not pump my own gas - during one of the elections they even ran commercials showing some old lady accidentally setting herself on fire at gas pump. Now that I have lived her forever I have adapted - gas prices in Oregon are still better than many states and many believe that pumping your own gas would not result in long term lower gas prices - they maybe right.
  • Was there back in 2011, and couldn't believe they don't let you pump your own. Luckily we were just passing through, and didn't need any gas, just the restrooms. I remember thinking at the time, how do I know who I'm handing my keys (locking gas cap/filler door) or cash/credit card to, when someone dressed casually walks up to my window and asks "fill 'er up?". There were at least a dozen young folks hanging around the pumps, and they all looked like they might be pump jockeys. I'm pretty sure they weren't.
  • OMG. I might smell like gas.

One other statement I read was " I have no idea how to run those pumps"
