First, these compressors often use a very cheap split phase induction motor. NO start cap, no run cap and these motors have VERY VERY high starting current.
On mine, even to get it to run on my honda 2000, I have to have the tank empty AND the drain valve open in order to get the motor spinning with absolutely no load, then close the drain valve and it will run till it hits max pressure.

Well now that throwed a little curve into my style !
I remember now several yrs ago, someone in Qzs Az loaned me a little pancake comp,......must have been when I had fridge trouble, and as I remember it ran fine on the eu 1000. But I have no idea what it was, but don't seem like it could be any less of a compressor than this one. I don't expect much cfpm out of this little thing.
At any rate, I post the result back here as soon as it gets here.
