10W LED G4 halogen - need tiny bulbs.

I don't think that would fit. 1" MIGHT fit.

Do an Ebay search....you can get them for 2 bucks delivered

I had similar puck lamps that had an oddball pin spacing. The ebay bulbs would not fit. I ended up replacing the two fixtures.

I tried one of this design in my ceiling lights and I did not like the lighted area this product provides. It gives you a round hot spot right under the bulb and the outside of the glass diffuser remains dark.

Not for me.

Not to put too fine a point on it, but what search terms should I use?

I've searched ebay, amazon, superbrightleds, etc. and can't find one I'm sure will fit.

These are only 7w, but they fit our 3" puck lights. Bought them at a local rv supply for $7.00...here is the product....Green LongLife Item # 6060104

I bought some tower LEDs that fit the 4 1/2" pucks just fine (20W equivalent) but are too big for the 3" pucks.

They are tiny G4 halogens - bulb part is little more than 1/2" in length + another 1/2" for pins and base. Anybody have luck finding LED replacements for these tiny halogens? Brighter the better and white not yellow.

Measure the size of the REFLECTOR, that is the only way to figure out what might fit.

Your 3" pucks might be similar in reflector size to my 3" pucks which came with a 20W Halogen bulb. Mine looks like the pix below..



Measure from the socket to the edge of the reflector, mine measures 1.5" from the socket to the top of the reflector..

The LED module in the pix above measures 7/8" in diameter, it comes with extra long leads that I had to trim a bit in order to get it to fit.

That module is a 3.5W unit and gives off enough light to be a bit brighter than the 20W Halogen that was in there.

As far as I can tell, it IS the smallest G4 module that I have been able to find to date and give off the equivalent of a 20W Halogen for light.. Most are 1 1/8" in diameter or a bit larger.

Might be a bit brighter than what you asked for but you might like it brighter.

Looks like I have max 1 1/8" length as long as the bulb is very thin at the side away from the socket.

That will be pretty tight to say the least.

The module I showed in my pix is 7/8" in diameter, it IS pretty much the smallest I have been able to find that puts out more light than a night light.

As you can see, the pins do have a black plastic piece to hold the pin spacing. In your case, you would most likely have to remove that black plastic piece (but I would try fitting without removing the plastic first).

The reflector looks like it is wide enough but the distance from socket to edge of reflector will be the issue.

To get the module in the fixture I do have to bend the leads at a slight angle. This allows the leads to enter the socket while the module is not fitting into the reflector.

Keep in mind, the LED module will no longer use or need the reflector, so cutting or modifying the reflector IS an option..
