12 volt pump to seven pin

You could always put a female end to your water pump and use the trailer seven pin connector. You always have constant on power at the trailer.

Well, I am using a seven pin because I have one laying around, and the connection is in the box which is handy.
According to the diagram above, I should be able to do positive(red) to black and negative(black) to white, yes/no?
This is what I did but it won't work unless the ignition is on??
Is it because it's a Ford? The neighbor's works on his Chevy....

You have it wired correctly, but your truck has a disconnect installed that shuts off trailer power when the ignition is off.

Perhaps a Ford guru can speak to any possibility of bypassing the disconnect.

I used the 4 pin connector instead of the 7pin



This is mine. When using it I just turn the parking lights on turn lights off when finished.

How about wiring it to a power port.
