In the BCC (Battery Control Center, black box under the hood) is an ignition relay that provides the power to your back up camera. If you have the original circuit board the relay will be the upper silver relay that looks like a Ford starter relay. If you have the replacement circuit board (CB 115) the relay is on the circuit board.
The silver relay is a known failure issue. When you cycled the battery switches to get the monitor started, you cycled the relay. I had the same issue with my Bounder.
