I did a 20A aux with my 30A TT. I highly recommend the aux inlet method, as it is VERY easy and safe (enough), and can be made as safe as you want it.
As said you can put in an additional box and feed 20A to it, or even 30A. One advantage of 20A is that you can buy a cheap 100ft cord that will stow easily, and use this 100ft 20A cord for potential long-term generator use (many here are now cringing).
I also bought adapters so that I can tap into the 50A outlet, if available. In my case I have a 50>30 and then a 30>15. Ugly, yes, but effective and adaptable.
