I will try to simplify As I said I have a 50 amp rv but often end up on 30 amp sits.. The following is "Designed" for adding a 2nd A/C to a 30 amp rv
Existing breaker box-----30 amp RV cord---park
2nd A/C---20 amp breaker (in a box) short 12ga 20 amp cord --- Extension cord--Park 20 amp breaker
This is on 30 amp sites.. Usually this works well I do have one park where they took out the 20 amp breakers SPECIFICALLY to prevent this so you have to know it is common.
On a 50 amp site
You can get a cord with 50 amp plug and two 30 amp outlets Some RV stores have 'em or Amazon et-al.
And a 15 to 30 adapter for the 2nd A/C
My set up is a bit different from what I describe above but that is because I do 50 amp sites (Like I'm on now) differently.. 30 amp sites are done like above.
