It sounds like the original circuit board has bit the dust.. Meaning, there is a main "mother board" in the electronics of that fridge and it has failed after 25 years..
Consider that a pretty good run.. I bought a new travel trailer in 2019 and the system board was bad from the start.. It would run on both gas and electric while plugged into shore power, but once it reached temp and cycled off, it would not kick back on again and flash the "check" light until reset (turn off and turn back on again)..
It was not until I unplugged shore power and ran it on gas alone, that it worked normally, but on shore power, no joy..
Called about the warranty and it was going to be 3 weeks just to get me into the dealer and then they'd have to do that same diag as I just did over the last week and then just say we need to replace the main board... I got one off of Amazon for around $100 (back in 2019) and installed myself and it's been working fine to this day...
Good luck! Mitch
Wow quite the succinct diagnosis with zero information provided by the OP that would lead you to that conclusion…..lol

Just a off the cuff thought and some "assumptions" of course.. 😁 We don't know if it works on gas plugged in or not. That was my thing, but I figured I'd just toss it out there all the same.. Not much traffic on this site it seems from the old "rv.net" days... I've been idle for a couple of years and just clicked on my bookmark to see if it still worked.. ha, ha.. Still does, so hit a few posts. ha, ha.. Mitch
