I agree, they can easily be cosidered throwaways at that price. It makes me want to buy one even though I have more generators than I need at this point. As for keeping them ready when not used much the biggest thing is of course the gas going bad. If you can go to the local airport and get a can filled with avgas and run it on that the shelf life is years. Also when it evaporates it leaves no residue. Been using it in generators and small motorcycles for years.
