I have used both and in my opinion the comparison is night and day.Some stores like Auto Zone carry TAIWAN mechanic's toolsAnd then there is MEANWELL power supplies versus mainland garbageYes I am angryMy hand is bandagedA mainland ratchet stripped it's brand new teeth and my hand gashed across a 4" hole saw. The ratchet was brand new.I am going to STRIP every Mainland China hand tool and into the garbage it goes. Don't get smartass about branded tools. I am talking about Made In China unbranded hand tools

YEP China can pound sand!!!!!!!

Pittsburgh tools are made in both countries. They seem to much better than the average junk made in China. They match up pretty well with Craftsman tools.

I've never bought an unbranded hand tool that was made in China, or made in India, or Pakistan. In fact I wouldn't buy any hand tool that was made in China. China can make decent things, Sailun tires for example, but hand tools made in China deserve to be kept in China.

Either can produce superior or inferior tools.

If you want quality then shop known quality brands, regardless of origin, and pay what they ask.
