My gen lists 4500 watts but the ac trips the breaker. It has two 15a120v recep and a 30a/240v. no switch to select between. It has 2 breakers, 1 for each 15a/120v recep.
To get anything other than a general answer, you'd have to supply the make and model #. One of the electrical geniuses (I'm not one of them;)) on the forum will look up the wiring diagram and let you know.
As I understand it, If these adapters will help you at all depends on how the gen is wired internally.
