Sorry it took me so long to post. I mentioned that I would provide an update after my first extended trip on the performance of the Duropower DP3600Ri. It took place in late August in Yosemite for one week. The generator ran great and I used it often to power a microwave, toaster, hair blow dryer, and even the A/C for a little while (not all of these at once). I also plugged one of my RV batteries that got depleted into the 12v charging port, so that every time I ran the generator it would also be charging the battery. The battery did get charged. I bought a new AGM battery since the one included with the generator quit working shortly after I received the generator while I was puting it through its paces prior to the trip. The remote feature is great. Just double click it (a key fob similar to a keyless entry)from inside the trailer and it kicks right on. (The generator was sitting in the bed of my truck right in front of the trailer.) I noticed if the generator was hot after running for a while and I turned it off and then tried to run it again within a couple of minutes it labored before it started. One time I had to use the electric start right on the generator, because that keeps the starter engaged, as opposed to the remote, which won't start it if it doesn't turn over right away. All-in-all, I am pleased with its performance, and although I don't think it runs quite as quiet as advertised, it certainly wasn't loud.
I hope this review helps anyone looking to buy one.
Oh there is one more thing, as I dug deeper into the machine to make a slight modification for the bigger battery I installed, I found a screwdriver inside the housing, and also a couple of stripped screws, but nothing major. As such, it appears some quality control is lacking, but again it did pass the performance test. (I am duplicating this post at the Duropower Low Price Generators forum.)
