Here is an update for anyone that has ordered the new Champion from Costco.
My email to Champion this morning...
Good morning,
I have ordered a 45638 Generator through Costco as have many others that participate in the Rv.net forum.
I understand that they should be shipping soon. Since Costco provides no shipping updates other than to say that our orders have been sent to fulfillment, I was wondering if it would be possible to get an Official update on the potential shipping date to post on RV.net for others that have ordered, and for those that are waiting to order after they begin to ship.
Any info concerning this matter would be awesome. We love to hear from the manufacturer as it cuts down speculation and bad information from spreading.

Shipping has already begun. We started shipping orders from our Santa Fe Springs California warehouse Friday.
