I think it's got to be a mis print. The ID5000 shows 55-58db range and it's bigger.
If not, that's what I call taking two steps back.

I agree, but, when you check out all the different (NEW) ID models the db(A) is all over the place. The Inverter ID 2200E (open frame) is listed also @ 80db(A) I think tho' and agree with you, the rating for the ID3500 could be a miss print. They seem to say they have the new EPA Okay and also have the 'CE' rating. This new EPA thing will unfold soon, I do believe. Seems the New Chinese gensets will give us new and interesting reading. Some new reports at Costco.Com of the new Champion even tho' the sale has ended.
