I'm still waiting for supco tech support to get back to me on whether one of their hard start capacitors can be installed on a 97 Coleman Mach 13,500 unit that I don't believe even has a start capacitor on it to begin with.
Many later models do not have a start capacitor. On some it is simply a cost cutting decision. On the higher end scroll compressors there is a belief it is not needed. Adding one will NOT hurt anything but your spare change purse - which is equal to about about 1/4th of the profit Coleman made by leaving it off.
