Ok that makes sense, I was just concerned that if this unit did not come from the factory with one that I could not add one for some reason, as in physically or electrically not install one. Not that I wouldn't have the skills do so, just that the design of the unit would prevent such an installation in some fashion. If that made any sense.
Edit: Just heard back from Supco and he said the SPP6 can be used on a unit not originally equipped with a start capacitor. Said to wire it across the run capacitor and usually there are some open flags to use on the run capacitor.
Also recommended against the SPP6E for generator applications.
