No, no dental floss in the sewing machine, I had hand sewn the rips in the boat cover with a large needle and dental floss, until I finally got a boat shed. For the sewing machine, bought some really tough thread (forget what kind, cannot break it by hand without almost cutting your fingers off...) and double sewn the generator cover. Thanks for the idea for the top.
