*There is an idle adjustment screw and what I believe is a fuel adjustment screw(I might be wrong, might be an air screw, but it acted just like a fuel screw!!).
Either way...
-with the extended intake attached, I had to back the fuel screw out almost two more turns and had to leave the choke partially on to get it to run(choke is merely a butterfly that blocks the intake and I would guess that it was moved to block a very small portion of the incoming air).
**I know the problem was not the diameter of the intake I was using, as I used both bigger and smaller than the bore of the carb with similiar results.
***I believe it was an "air velocity" issue.
