eljefino - although I have a Champ too - the deal from HD is tough to beat for home gen use. I'd give 'em an A+ also!
BTW - the 1.3 mil w/o power was in the West - and "over 4 million".
San Diego Gas & Electric = San Diego County, parts of Orange County (CA) - and parts of AZ & Mexico.
Back on-line in less than 24 hours. SG&E said they would have got power back sooner if they had been able to get thru to "The Prof" for troubleshooting.
Think it turned out to be a bad AVR.:W
